Description
Kheops Par Puca Bead Ring
This is a simple pattern, perfect if you are just starting out with the Kheops par Puca beads. Or a quick make if you are already familiar with these beads. It is also a great way of using up a few odd beads from the end of a tube as you will only need six Kheops.
If you are not familiar with these new seed beads, they are basically triangular in shape with two parallel holes through each bead. You can read all about the beads and how best to use them in this blog.
Materials and other tips
In addition to your Kheops, you will need size 11 Delicas – just a few grams – and Superduos. So again, a good way to use up some leftovers. Plus pearls in 4mm and 6mm.
The actual ring design makes a component all of its own. So if you’re not a fan of beaded rings, you might like to use the component as a feature on a bracelet or a pendant on a necklace. It will also work as a pair of earrings, or you can get creative and join multiple components together.
There are also plenty of options for playing with colour. In my sample I combined bright with a more muted green to create a contrast and some sense of balance. But the design would work in beads of the same colour, or shades of one colour.
Make the ring band using Peyote stitch. If this is a technique you dislike or have never tried before, you can use your own favourite technique to create the band.
If you are looking for more patterns with Kheops Par Puca beads, you can find some examples for trying simple straight strips or blocks in my Art Deco inspired necklace and simple bracelet. So, go and have some fun with some new beads!
