These pearl cluster earrings are perfect for a wedding or special occasion. The design is just like you would buy. Yet, it is so simple to make. So, why not just make your own?

Materials

You need a selection of pearls in various sizes. If you like, you can mix in a few crystals as well.

This is a great project for using up leftover beads. You really can mix in as many sizes and colours as you want.

Then, you will need headpins and earring findings. I like the ear wires that allow these to dangle just below the ear. But you can also use stud findings if you prefer.

This is a wirework project. So, you will also need pliers and wire cutters.

Techniques and Experience

The pearl cluster earrings are made using the most basic wirework techniques. If you are completely new to this and want to find out a little more, then check out this blog.

You are going to be making wire loops. This is really simple. So, the trick to making a really professional finish is just practice. I have included really detailed instructions. But if you need some extra help, I also have some free tutorials.

So, this is a great beginner level project.

About the Pearl Cluster Earrings

If you have ever done any wedding planning, you might have searched for pearl cluster earrings. They have been on trend for a while and I really don’t see this changing.

Pearls make such a classic statement. Yet, this design gives a slightly modern twist.

So, you can choose colours accordingly. Perhaps you use white for the bride, then create matching earrings for the bridesmaids, using colours to complement their dresses?

Or, have you thought about a hen party where you all get together and make jewellery to wear on the big day? This is a brilliant project for an event like that. If you want to go on and make some co-ordinating bracelets and necklaces, try this pattern.
