About the Pink Daisy Bracelet design
I created this design when I was looking for a way to help my students with brick stitch. I found that the ladder stitch base that is a standard way of beginning brick stitch, could be created very easily with bugle beads.
This also added to the interest in the design, by creating a different look and texture to the seed beads. I wanted to create a daisy theme. So I used little daisy motifs in the brick stitch sections on the bracelet.
I am also a lover of creating clasps that complement a design. So, I created a custom daisy clasp for my pink daisy bracelet. This involves beading over wooden beads. This structure conceals a secure magnetic clasp. So, this makes the bracelet very secure to wear and means it can easily be sized to fit around the wrist snugly.
I called this my ‘Pink Daisy bracelet’ because of the colours I chose. But of course, you can make this in any colouring you like. I recommend using the same colour bugle beads as you use for the centres of the daisies. This helps to create some ‘links’ in the design.
