Description
This Flamingo bead pattern makes a bracelet to suit any wrist size. You will be working in Peyote stitch. The project is suitable for all levels.
Materials for the Flamingo Bead Pattern
For this project, you will simply need size 11 Delicas and beading thread.
I have designed a simple beaded clasp. So you don’t need any findings. You can adjust the length of your bracelet to suit you.
You can buy all the materials you need from me. Just follow this link for your beads.
Experience and Techniques
The Flamingo bead pattern uses even count Peyote stitch. So, you do not have to be a beading expert to make this bracelet. I have written the pattern with diagrams to show each row. So, you don’t even need to understand how to follow a pattern chart. It really couldn’t be simpler!
If you are literally a brand-new beader, then you might want to start by reading through my free tutorial on even count Peyote. But this isn’t essential as the pattern takes you through everything in easy steps.
Every step is written out and illustrated with a diagram.
About the Design
I created my Flamingo bead pattern at a time when flamingos were right on trend in the craft world. This was a coincidence really. I have always loved Flamingos. I adore their different colours and just think they are a fascinating bird.
So, I wanted to find a way to capture that. I have also designed a necklace using the Flamingo bead pattern. I added a bit of sparkle and some feathers to that design. So, you could make a complete jewellery set. You can find the necklace pattern here.
This is a bright project, perfect for the summer. So, that is why I decided to make a bracelet – bare arms and short sleeves are the perfect time to show off your summer beaded jewellery!
