Description
Following on from my very popular Christmas jumper tree decorations, I have six new beaded Christmas sweater designs for you in this one pattern. So, keep reading to find out more! And if these are new to you, don’t forget to use the link above to get the original six designs as well as these.
Materials
You simply need seed beads to make your beaded Christmas sweater decorations. You can use any brand (just keep to the same brand for each sweater). And, use any size.
I used size 11 for my little samples and they measure about 2″ high.
If you are newer to beading, then you might like to use larger beads. Or, you might want to use the larger beads to make more of a statement on your Christmas tree.
Experience and Techniques
You are going to be working in flat Peyote stitch (odd count) and basic brick stitch to make these little ornaments. I have assumed some previous knowledge of the techniques. So, if you need to learn (or revise) the basics, you can find free tutorials on this website. I also have blogs to teach you the techniques at this link.
So, this is a pattern for intermediate beaders.
About the beaded Christmas sweater pattern
My beaded Christmas sweater pattern gives you six designs for miniature beaded sweaters. The designs are:
- robin
- Christmas pudding
- stocking
- holly
- Christmas cracker
- bauble
Just to be clear: this pattern includes all these designs, so you don’t need to choose your favourites. You can make all of them, or just the ones that appeal to you.
If you attach a split ring, you can then hang your little sweaters on a Christmas tree. They make great gifts. Or, you might use them to decorate Christmas cards or on gift tags.
I have also included a blank pattern, so you can design your own additional sweaters if you wish.
