Description
Learn how to make a Peyote Square clasp and add a matching bracelet. This is a really fun project and super-easy to size to fit any wrist.
Materials
Your Peyote Square Clasp Tila Bracelet uses the following materials:
- Size 11 seed beads (any brand is fine)
- Tila beads
- O beads
- 4mm pearls
- Your choice of beading thread
You can have some fun playing with colour schemes for this bracelet. You might like to keep the colour in the bracelet and make a neutral clasp. Or, why not try keeping the bracelet muted and making a real statement with the clasp?
If you already have a lot of beads in your stash, this project is a good way to use a few. And if you are buying some of the shaped beads, you don’t need to get too many, so this won’t break the bank.
Experience and Techniques
This bracelet pattern is suitable for intermediate level. You will be using Peyote stitch to make the clasp – but then, you probably guessed that! I have assumed that you have done some Peyote stitch before. However, if that’s not the case, then grab this free tutorial as well and you will have all you need.
The bracelet uses a herringbone and a peyote stitch thread path. If you’re wondering what they are, don’t worry. The pattern does take you through the steps in detail and includes photos and diagrams. So, you don’t need to have prior knowledge for this – just to be able to follow instructions. About the Peyote Square Clasp Tile Bracelet
This is a project that I designed when I was working on my book, Beaded Clasps. I wanted to try and create jewellery where the clasp was the focal point.
So, in this design, the clasp is a real feature. It also gave me a super-easy way to alter the length of the bracelet. So, this can be made to fit any size of wrist.
