Tile Beads

Here are patterns and projects that use Tile beads. You can also check the beading supplies. Therefore, you can put together your own little project kit.

What Are Tile Beads?

If you have never come across Tile beads before, they are a type of shaped seed bead. As you might guess, they look like a tile. However, each bead has two holes through it. As a result, these beads can be tessellated and joined in really interesting designs.

Do not confuse Tile beads with Tila beads! I would forgive you for doing so, but there is a difference. The Tile beads are much thicker and also very slightly larger. The tiles measure 6mm along each side. They are part of the Czechmates range. So, they work well with other beads from this manufacturer, as well as seed beads. The Tile beads have slightly rounded edges so they don’t put too much wear on your thread.

I am giving you some patterns here to get you started. Alternatively, you could just buy the beads and make up your own designs.

Please remember to check back here regularly as I will be adding new designs. If you would like more information about the beads and techniques, then visit www.myworldofbeads.com. You will be able to read blogs about everything you need to know. Finally, if you have any questions about any products, please just drop me an email. I’m always happy to help!
