Description
Do you need some last-minute festive jewellery? This beaded Christmas stocking pattern is perfect.
Materials
You can use this beaded Christmas stocking pattern to make a pendant and a pair of earrings. The pendant is just under 2″ long. You will need size 11 seed beads in red and white.
If you would like a larger pendant, you can simply use larger beads.
The earrings are only an inch long. I made these with size 15 seed beads. Again, you will need red and white. You can also change the size very easily by changing your chosen seed bead size. So, if you like really big earrings, why not use size 11?
You will also need your favourite beading thread. If you need to purchase any of these materials, check out my beading supplies department>>
Experience and Techniques
The beaded Christmas stocking pattern uses Peyote stitch. So, you will be working in tubular and circular. You will also need to do some simple ‘end of row’ decreasing and ‘in row’ increasing. The pattern guides you through everything. But I also have free tutorials you can download from this website if you need extra help.
This is a project that is suitable for intermediate level.
It is also a lovely quick project. I made the pendant in about an hour. So, if you find yourself in a last-minute panic before a Christmas party, this could be the answer!
About the Beaded Christmas Stocking pattern
It’s always fun to wear some festive jewellery. But when does ‘Festive’ become ‘tacky’? Well, hopefully not here! This cute stocking isn’t too obtrusive and will work with any kind of outfit.
As I mentioned, it is also nice and quick to make. You can change the size very easily. So, you could also make this with larger beads and use it as a Christmas tree decoration.
