These cute beaded Christmas parcel tree decorations are quick and easy to make. So, let me tell you a little more about the project…

Materials

You will just need size 11 Delicas and size 11 seed beads for this project. Plus your favourite beading thread.

I chose to use a combination of bead types in order to create the appearance of ribbon wrapped around a parcel. But you can use just one type if you wish.

You probably have all these materials in your stash already.

Experience and Techniques

You are going to be working in circular and tubular Peyote stitch. I have explained the techniques in detail, so this is a project that you can try at any level of experience.

It may be helpful if you have done some Peyote stitch in the past. But you can also find free tutorials to help with the basics at this link.

About the beaded Christmas parcel tree decorations

This is actually a very flexible project. You will be making the little parcels individually and then grouping them together. So, you can make as many parcels as you wish.

You can also enlarge them simply by using larger seed beads. (Try a combination of size 10 delicas and size 8 seed beads).

I have also used the single parcels to add an extra dimension to my little beaded gnomes. You can learn how to make them in this online class. I’ve added a photo of the gnomes with their parcels to the gallery so you can see what I mean.

Each little parcel is about half an inch in size. So, the finished size of your arrangement will depend on how many parcels you make and how you arrange them.

This is also an excellent project for using up odds and ends. You only need a couple of grams of beads for each parcel. So, they are cute ornaments to enjoy yourself, or give as gifts, or even sell at a Christmas craft fair.
