Description
This simple flower is a quick project to make with Tee beads. Think of it as a simple motif that you can develop further. So, maybe you turn it into jewellery. Or, maybe you use it to decorate something else. I’ll show you what I did with my first flower in a minute.
Materials
This beading project requires the following materials:
- Tee beads in two colours
- Superduos
- Size 11 seed beads
- Your choice of beading thread
So, it’s not too tricky to get those together. You only need a few of each type of bead to make a flower. So, this can also be a great stash-busting project if you have some of these beads in your collection.
Experience and Techniques
This is a project that literally anyone can make. So, even if you are a beginner, you can give this one a try.
You are basically just going to be stringing beads. This is an easy way to start with some of the shaped seed beads. And the best bit… Nobody will every realise how simple this is to make!
So, it will only take a few minutes to create each flower.
What will you do with your Tee Bead flowers?
I sometimes like to throw a little beaded motif out there for other people to use. The joy of this idea is flexibility. You can make just one flower. Or experiment with ways of joining several together.
These would look stunning on a big bead embroidery piece (I may have to try that myself!). Or, can you find a way to link them to make a necklace?
I used my flower to decorate the beehive that I submitted for Bead Dreams 2018. I stitched it on with a 4mm pearl to anchor it. (And yes, the pattern does tell you how I did that and show you the results!).
This is also a great project if you like experimenting with colours. Because the flowers are quick to make and don’t require too many beads, you can try out different colour schemes with ease.
