This pattern uses a combination of Swarovski crystal rivoli motifs, seed beads and pearls to create a simple, but elegant bracelet. It is a great way to learn how to bead around a rivoli and you can have fun playing with different colour combinations.

Materials

You will need the following materials:

  • Swarovski rivolis, 14mm
  • Size 11 seed beads
  • Size 15 seed beads
  • 4mm Pearls
  • Beading thread
  • Your choice of clasp

You can use this link to find the materials that you need.

Techniques and Experience

The project uses very basic Right Angle Weave and peyote stitch. So, it is ideal for anyone who is starting out in those stitches. It’s also a satisfying quick make if you’re more experienced!

I have taught this at a few classes for improvers. So, you really don’t need to be terribly experienced to make this crystal rivoli bracelet.

About the Crystal Rivoli Bracelet

I love beading around cabochons, rivolis and anything else. So, this bracelet design gave me a chance to do just that. I wrote up the pattern because I wanted to share this with others.

Whenever I wore the bracelet, people admired it. The simplicity of the crystal rivoli motifs allows them to really shine. Pearls are always classic. So, you really can’t go wrong with this combination.

If you are just purchasing the pattern and then buying or using your own beads, it is worth thinking about cost. I have used Swarovski rivolis, but the Chinese crystal is also pretty good these days. So, if you’re on a budget, that’s a simple way to save money.

The trick is to start by choosing your Rivoli colour. Then, pick seed beads and pearls to create the colour scheme you want. So, you could go monochromatic, or try contrasts. If you are trying contrasts, think about whether you want the pearls or the crystal to stand out.
