This Halloween Beaded Box is the perfect adornment for any spooky celebrations you might be planning. In just a moment, I’ll explain why! But first, let me tell you more about the pattern.

Materials

You will need size 11 Delicas for this project. I chose traditional Halloween colours: black and orange. But you might want to go for something different.

The pattern includes designs for a bat and a cat. So, these don’t have to be restricted to Halloween. You might make a beaded box with cats on both halves, for a cat lover. In this case, your colour choice is wide open!

You will also need your favourite beading thread. It should be something that gives you good tension. For me, that is Fireline. But you may prefer something else.

Techniques and Experience

The Halloween beaded box decoration is suitable for intermediate level and beyond.

You will be working in Peyote stitch. You’re going to be using the circular variation. So, I have assumed you are already familiar with the basic technique. If you do need to learn how it works, then check out this blog.

Why you need to make this Halloween Beaded Box Decoration!

I promised you I would explain why this is such a perfect project for your Spooky celebrations this year…

Well, I designed this little beaded box to hang up as a decoration. But it will also conceal a little gift inside. So, you could make one for each party guest, add their name, then give them their box with gift to take home. Maybe you even come up with some kind of party game based around these…

Or maybe you have an idea for incorporating them into your trick or treat plans?

And if you like this idea, why not try out the Christmas designs as well. I have six different designs you can get to decorate your Christmas tree this year. You’ll find them all here.
