Description
This peyote Triangle bracelet is simple to make, but looks much more complex.
Materials
Your Peyote Triangle bracelet and earrings require the following materials:
- Size 11 delicas in two colours
- Size 15 seed beads
- 4mm pearls
- Your choice of beading thread
The earrings will also require some ear wires of your choice. In the pattern, I have given you the delica bead numbers that I used here. If you prefer, you can choose your own colouring. I have included a gallery photo of some samples made by ladies at a workshop where I taught this project. So, I hope that will inspire you with your own colours.
You may already have beads in your stash for this project. If you do need more, then I sell all these beads in the beading supplies department here>>
Experience and Techniques
This project uses circular Peyote stitch. I have assumed you have done some Peyote stitch before, but if that is not the case, you can find free tutorials on this website, to guide you.
You are also going to learn a very simple freeform embellishment technique.
So, this pattern is suitable for improvers and upwards, I think.
About the Peyote Triangle Bracelet and Earrings
I created this design when I was writing my book, ‘Beaded Clasps’. I wanted to include some projects that used the different clasp designs taught in the book. So, I focused on beading a project around a clasp element. This might be a little backwards in some ways: we are used to the clasp just being a finishing touch.
This has now become one of my favourite bracelet and earring sets. It is easy to wear, very secure and lightweight, and it always gets lots of attention!
It is so simple to size this design to fit your wrist size. And by the time you have personalised the colouring, you will have a piece of jewellery to treasure.
