Fancy Beads
I bet your beading stash includes some kind of fancy beads. These cover a huge range of possibilities, but don’t fall into any of my other beads categories. So, you may find some pattern inspiration for your stash right here.
What are Fancy Beads?
This is my term and it covers a multitude of different beads. Basically, this would include anything that is larger than a seed bead. So, that is larger than 6mm.
Fancy beads can be any size and shape and made of a range of materials. So, I have included large wooden beads, glass beads and plastic beads. You might see a range of shapes here too.
Typically, you would use these kinds of beads for stringing projects. So, that could be stringing onto wire or on thread. However, as you will see, I have also found some more innovative uses for some of these beads. You can incorporate them into bead-weaving projects as well. So, see if any of these ideas takes your fancy!
