Beading with Katie

Beading with Katie, the new-look mailing list for enjoying more beading and learning more beading skills
Share

Spring is a time for growth and renewal, right? Well, for me, this month has been a time to make a few improvements…a kind of growth and renewal exercise to benefit you, my loyal customers and followers. I’m reaching the culmination of this process. So, I can now proudly introduce…(drum roll please)…Beading with Katie.

What is beading with Katie?

This is my new-look newsletter. If you’ve been on my mailing list for a while, you will have had an invite to re-subscribe recently. (And huge thank you to all the people who’ve done that).

If you missed the invitation, don’t worry, you can just follow this link to re-subscribe now.

My old newsletter system had become a little muddled and unclear and I felt it wasn’t offering you the best support with your beading.

You see, my main mission is to help all of you enjoy more beading and improve your skills.

So, to do that, I like to share a mixture of things:

  • Informational articles to help you learn more about beading
  • Tutorials and patterns so you can enjoy making things and learn new skills that way
  • Online classes and also email courses to cover both of the above

Basically, I felt like I needed a better way of doing that. Hence the new-look newsletter.

What’s in it for you?

Well, I know I have a lot of different people following me. You’re all at different points in your beading and you all want slightly different things.

So, although I can’t please all of you all of the time, I can create a system that should give you more of what you want more of the time.

Everyone is going to have the option of taking free email courses to learn new skills. So, this could be a new beading technique, or it could be a skill like designing or choosing colours. Or it could be a way of learning about particular types of beads or materials.

You get to choose which courses you take, how many, and how often. And this option is available to all members of my mailing list (but not to non-members).

So, if that is of interest, I’ll share the sign up form below. But first, let me explain some of your options.

When you sign up for the first time, you’ll get to choose how often you want to hear from me. That choice will dictate the kind of information I’m sending you.

So, what are your options?

Option 1 – every time I launch something new

If you just want to hear about new projects and classes, then this is the best option for you. Everyone on this option will just receive emails from me when I launch something new. They may include some discount coupons, occasionally, but are primarily to let you know when new things are available.

So, these emails could be sent at any time and with any level of frequency. It depends entirely on how much I’m creating new stuff, and that varies from month to month.

You won’t get additional beading tips or other articles or anything like that. This is purely a way of tracking new stuff as it arrives so you don’t miss out on things.

Option 2 – once a week

This is the best option, in my opinion. This is your ‘Beading with Katie’ weekly newsletter.

Think of it a bit like a magazine. Every issue will contain the following:

  • News of any new products I’ve just launched
  • Announcements about other events and things I’m planning
  • A ‘topic of the week’, which is basically a short article exploring an aspect of beading. These will range from things like looking at specific beads, to topics like choosing bead colours or design, and tips for improving your beading, or storing your beads etc., etc.
  • Showcase a selection of projects that you might want to try
  • Occasional special offers and discounts

‘Beading with Katie’ started up a couple of weeks ago. But don’t worry, you haven’t missed out. If you choose to sign up today, you will automatically start receiving issues from the beginning, so you won’t miss any important beading tips. And the news and new products they contain will always be right up to date.

I’ll share the sign up form in a moment.

Option 3 – once a month

This option is for those of you who like to keep your inboxes clear, or just aren’t that interested in receiving loads of beading news.

You will receive just one email a month – on the last Friday. And it will give you a quick round up of…

  • Any new projects or classes I’ve released during the month
  • Any blog posts I published
  • Announcements about upcoming or ongoing events that I’m involved with
  • Occasional special offers and discounts

So, you can keep on top of the main ‘headlines’, but you won’t be given lots of tips or other news.

Launching the rose members club, Katie Dean, Beadflowers

The Rose Club

So, the ‘Beading with Katie’ list is really for those of you who just want to know what is going on and to learn more about beading.

If you are also one of my regular customers, then you might want to consider joining the Rose Club. That is the best way to get regular discounts and special offers on everything you buy. In fact, if you’re savvy about it, you can actually save money with your Rose Club coupons every single time you buy from me, whether it’s on this website, or a beading class, or from my Etsy store.

If you’re interested in finding out more about that and joining, just use this link.

How do you join the ‘Beading with Katie’ newsletter?

Very simple. You can join at any time by completing the form that’s always in the right-hand side menu on this website.

Or you can use the form on my mailing list page.

Or, since you’re here right now, you can sign up immediately by completing the form below.

If you do choose to subscribe, then thank you. If this isn’t for you at the moment, that’s not a problem. The option is always there for any time you want it.

And to those of you who have already started receiving issues of ‘Beading with Katie’, thank you for your support. I look forward to sharing more beading with all of you!
