Celebrate Spring with Beads!

In yesterday’s blog, I promised you I would celebrate Spring with beads. So, although the ‘Beast from the East’ may be sending snow and sub zero temperatures across the UK, I’m here to support my flowers.

My little snowdrops and crocus are struggling on in spite of the weather. To my mind, these little beauties are the first sign of better things to come. So, I’m willing them on, even though they probably feel as though they have just poked their little heads out far too early!

Inviting you to help celebrate Spring with beads

March 1st may be the official first day of Spring. (Although I think our British meteorological office has officially postponed that this year!).

It also happens to be St David’s day, the National day of Wales.

Now Wales is a beautiful country with luscious scenery, a proud, rich history, and lots of beaders! So, if you’re celebrating St David’s Day, then I have a little treat for you.

I’ve put all my beaded daffodil patterns on sale…

Why? Well, because daffodils, Leeks and dragons are the traditional symbols to celebrate this national day. Since I haven’t yet got any beaded Leeks or dragons, the daffodils will have to do all the work!

So, I can offer you a French beaded daffodil pattern here>>

Or, you might like to try a whole French beaded daffodil kit. This makes two brooches (pins). So, that would be perfect to wear today!

If you prefer bead-weaving, then I’ve got you covered! These cute little Peyote stitch daffodil charms are just the thing to celebrate St David’s Day. You could wear them as earrings or attach them to a charm bracelet. Or maybe you have another idea…

Now, St David’s day is only once a year. So, this sale will only be happening once! At midnight here in the UK, the sale price will disappear. So, make sure you grab your patterns and kit while you can get a bargain.

What else will I be doing to celebrate Spring with beads?

If you happen to have missed out on the St David’s day celebration, don’t worry. That was just the first day of Spring.

I have a whole 31 days of Spring to celebrate in March!

So, I’m going to be sharing ideas for beading projects that will help you celebrate the Spring festivals.

Starting with my newest beaded box…a set of nested Easter Eggs. I can give you a sneak peek here, but the official pattern launch will be happening shortly.

…and if that isn’t incentive enough, I often do a special launch offer for mailing list members! So, what are you waiting for?

  1. Spring is in the air, indeed :). The daffodils and easter egg are gorgeous! Just now i have the easter chicken tutorial on the table and as it looks it does not have to freeze in the snow anymore.
