Advent with Bead Flowers

Advent

Somehow the 1st December has arrived. I know that Advent officially started last Sunday, but my Advent calendar only counts down through December! I’m not sure whether the idea of Advent fills you with excitement or trepidation. As a child, it was most definitely excitement. As an adult, I fear it may be more trepidation as you work out just how much is left to do before Christmas and how little time there is to do it!

Advent and Christmas have all sorts of meanings depending on your personal beliefs. Hopefully there is one thing that is in common: a bright celebration in darkest Winter, with the chance to get together with friends and family. If you are on your own, then I hope that being part of the beading community brings some sense of kinship. So, with all that in mind, I decided to brighten up the count-down this year with a bit of beading fun. Bringing you the Bead Flowers Advent Calendar Challenge

What is the Advent Challenge?

Quite simply, it’s about a little bit of lHolly Baublesight entertainment to relieve the stress! If you pop on over to the Advent Calendar, you will find a different ‘challenge’ each day. Some give you discount vouchers, some are little games, some are quiz questions. You can take part in as many or as few as you want, but at the end of Advent, the person who has completed the most challenges will be rewarded with a £50 voucher to spend on here in January. Watch out because some days extra challenge points are on offer, so this could be a way to differentiate yourself from the competition!

Thank You!

AdventSo, I hope this brings you a bit of Festive cheer. Most of all, I want to say a huge Thank You to everyone who has supported me over the past year. If you read my blog regularly, then you already know about the health issues that have got in the way in 2016. I am still receiving treatment, but I am making noticeable progress. There’s still a long way to go, but hopefully 2017 will bring better things. One thing is for sure, the beading keeps me going and you all help to keep my beading going, so thank you!
