I confess, last year’s resolution lapsed in the final three months. But there’s no reason not to try again! So, here we go, a round-up of my January 2019 beading patterns.

I like to try and do this every month to help you all. What with social media, beading groups, magazines, etc, it can be hard to keep track of the beading patterns you saw and wanted to buy. You can always find my new beading patterns here as well>>

So, let’s get on with my January 2019 beading patterns…

Beaded Beads

I decided to launch 2019 with a year-long challenge. I’m attempting to design and produce a new beaded bead pattern every week this year.

Well, I’m happy to say that it’s going well so far. January has spanned the first five weeks of 2019 and I’ve come up with five new beaded beads.

Big thank you to all of you who have been helping me with this. I have had some great suggestions for beaded beads. So, I’m working my way through a nice little list.

And I’ve really enjoyed giving away the patterns to the people who suggested them, too. So, if you’ve got any ideas, please pop over and add them to the comments on my challenge page here>>

If I make a beaded bead using your idea, you’ll get a free copy of the pattern!

Saying Goodbye…

January 2019 also marked the sale of my last copies of Beaded Clasps book. (Don’t worry, you can still order the book direct from the printer, but I am no longer stocking it).

So, I picked out three of my favourite projects from that book and have published them as standalone patterns this month.

All the projects in the book use a clasp as a focus for the design. For these projects, I took clasp shapes and turned them into jewellery, or into the focal point on a piece of jewellery.

These also happen to be some of my favourite bracelets to wear. They never fail to get noticed!

January 2019 beading patterns for boxes

If you know me and know my work, then you’ll know that no month would be complete without a beaded box design…or 3!

Yes, I’ve been truly inspired this past month. I was thinking ahead to Valentine’s Day with my rose beaded box. Also, the post box might be good for a love letter…?

Then, my Rivoli box developed an idea that I stumbled upon at the end of 2018. This is a theme that I will be developing further in 2019. So, watch out for more designs in the coming months…

And remember, if you want to find out about new projects as I release them (and maybe get a discount offer or two as well!), then join my mailing list>>
