About the brick stitch flower earrings

This pattern is great if you are just starting out in brick stitch. In making the brick stitch flower earrings, you will have the chance to practise a technique for following a brick stitch pattern with shaping. If this is something you have never done before, then I recommend you also get this free tutorial. In it, you will find lots of handy tips and tricks for creating the pieces of shaped beadwork that these earrings require. Incidentally, it will also teach you the brick stitch basics.

You will be using size 11 Delicas to make the brick stitch flower earrings. I have recommended these beads because they will make a really even shape. This will help you to see where you are going as you work and, in general, make life easier for you. If you are a complete beading novice, then you could try some practise attempts with larger beads before you start on the actual brick stitch flower earrings.

I used Lucite flowers for my earrings. But you can substitute these for another type of flower. I have included a few suggestions. You can also modify the actual brick stitch pattern here to create your own beaded flower. I have used the brick stitch for sepals. But it would work just as well if used for petals in coloured beads.
