Secret Santa

Well, it’s December 1st (how did that happen?!) and time to face the fact that Christmas is fast approaching. So I’ve been hatching a few plans. Thanksgiving has just passed and also Hanukkah, all festivals to celebrate the things for which we are thankful. They also help to brighten up the dark, cold days of winter. Now, if you’re a beader, or crafter of any sort, you probably use these cold, dark evenings as an excuse to do a little crafting. Maybe in front of a log fire, or in my case, my Daylight lamp! Either way, I’ve been thinking that this is the perfect time for me to combine these two ideas by saying a really big thank you to everyone who has supported my work and to give you all a little excuse for some more beading.

So, I thought about the office or school tradition of Secret Santa and I’ve given it a little twist of my own. I decided to send out a little beady gift to one lucky person, chosen randomly from my Facebook likers or my website users who have signed up for my mailing list (this happens by default when you make a purchase or register as a user, in case anyone is wondering!). The gifts are all going to be different, but they all involve beads, so it’s a chance to indulge in a little beadwork at the same time. I didn’t want to leave anyone out though, so if you’ve had your eye on something on the website for a while, then you can use voucher code 10WEB1213 to get a 10% discount on your shopping cart (voucher may be used once, is not valid in conjunction with other offers and it expires on 24th December 2013).

I’m hatching more plans for January, but first I’m looking forward to catching up with my troublesome little snowmen next Saturday when I teach a workshop at Blue Haze Arts and Crafts in Chesham, Bucks. My poor snowmen have been sitting in the shop window since July, so it’s perhaps no wonder that they got into a bit of mischief. Unfortunately they suffered a little in the heat we enjoyed back in July and I’m sorry to say they melted slightly. I hear though that they are much happier now the weather has turned cold, but I have a feeling that they may be enjoying a few more adventures before too long!

Meanwhile, Season’s Greetings to everyone and thank you again for all your support.
