NBW takes place during the first week in August every year. It began in the UK – the brainchild of the Bead Worker’s Guild – but has spread worldwide. So, it has become the biggest annual celebration of beading throughout the world.
Every year, I try and host something to help new people discover beading. And also to invite existing beaders to celebrate their craft.
So, I have given away free patterns. I have also hosted free beadalongs. And then there are the competitions…

Let me start by answering the two questions that the title of this blog brings to my mind. What is National Beading Week 2017? What on earth is a beadalong? When I’ve done that, I’m going to tell you all about my plans for 2017. They’re really exciting and hopefully you spotted the magic word…
