This superduo beaded box collection gives you three beading patterns, for three great projects. But you just pay one price. You can purchase each of these patterns separately. Doing that will cost you a total of £25. So, by purchasing all of them here together, you save £10.

Let me tell you a little more about these boxes.

The superduo beaded box collection

This superduo beaded box collection comprises three separate patterns. Here is a little more information about each of them.

About the triangular Superduo beaded box pattern

When I published my original Superduo beaded box, it proved to be one of the most popular designs I’ve ever created. Unsurprisingly, I soon found myself being requested to create more designs in this vein.

So, I made a square shaped box. Logically, then, the triangle is the next shape to try. But, as you’ll see, a single triangular superduo beaded box will not stand up unsupported. So, I decided to combine this with another idea I’ve been exploring. Linking shapes to create box structures with multiple compartments.

The result is this very flexible design. Now, you will need a minimum of three boxes to create a standing structure. But there is really no maximum. I’ve shown you how to link your boxes in different combinations. So, you can create a structure with any number of triangular superduo beaded boxes.

Materials

You are going to need Superduos – about 43g per box. But you can mix up colours and create a huge number of interesting patterns. So, this is a good project for using up odds and ends if you wish.

You will also need size 11 seed beads. I have given you the option of making a beaded bead embellishment to sit in the lid. This needs 10mm wooden beads. But you can also replace this with an ordinary round 14mm bead of your choice. Or, you can leave it out altogether.

Finally, you will need QuadraTiles to join the boxes together.

About the strawberry Superduo beaded box pattern

When I was making my original Triangular Superduo beaded box, I realised that the design I had created reminded me of a strawberry shape.

So, I decided to explore this idea. Now, as you’ll see, a single triangular superduo beaded box will not stand up unsupported. But, I discovered it was simple to create a base to support this. So, I took the strawberry idea and combined it with its natural companion: cream.

The cream is also made in Peyote stitch, but the Cellini spiral variation. So, you get to explore some variations on a theme with this design.

Materials

You are going to need Superduos in red for the strawberry, and cream (for the cream, of course!).

You will also need size 11 and size 8 seed beads.

If you want just the single pattern for this box, you can find it at this link.

About the Superduo ice cream beaded box pattern

This is yet another development of the basic triangular shape. I have created a different support structure for this box, but it’s simple to make.

The ice cream is also made in Peyote stitch, but the Cellini spiral variation. You will be mixing in some different beads and sizes, so this is a little more challenging than the other boxes. But, with the skills you’ve gained in the other projects, this is a natural development.

Materials

You are going to need Superduos in brown for the ice cream cone and cream for the ice cream. I chose to use silver for my base, but you can use a different colour if you prefer.

You will also need size 11 and size 8 seed beads.

You can find the single pattern for this box at this link.

General information about the collection

For all these projects, you are going to need your choice of beading thread. You will need to use good tension to get the self-supporting structure.

All these projects use Peyote stitch. They are suitable for intermediate to advanced beaders. Although, if you are good at following instructions and happy to learn, you can try this at any level.
