This freeform flower bracelet pattern isn’t as scary as you might be thinking! I am simply inviting you to have a play with thread paths through a series of two-holed beads. The pattern gives you the detailed thread paths that I used. But if anyone finds them tricky to follow, you can make it up in a way that suits you. So, that’s all the ‘freeform’ involves!

Materials

To make the freeform flower bracelet, you will need:

  • Paisley Duo beads
  • Nib-Bits
  • Gem Duos
  • True2 Beads
  • Size 15 Delicas
  • Your choice of beading thread

I have all these beads in stock in my beading supplies, right here>>

You can choose a colour scheme like mine, or put together your own. I used lots of different colours, which would be a great way to use up some odds and ends if you have beads leftover in your stash.

Experience and Techniques

I have marked this as an intermediate project. In actual fact, the thread paths are simple. You are basically just stringing beads to make the bracelet. The skill lies in finding a path that will join your little flowers, link through the two holes in each bead, and not end up with too much thread showing.

For the clasp, you are going to be using some even count Peyote.

If this is your first time trying out two-holed seed beads, it’s a great way to learn. And if you would like more information about the multi-holed seed beads available in the market today, then check out this blog>>

About the Freeform flower bracelet

I designed the Freeform flower bracelet for the Beadsmith Inspiration Squad. It showcases bead shapes and colours that the Beadsmith stock and sell through the shops they supply.

I could see the potential for all these bead shapes to make beautiful flowers. So, I simply played with a thread path for linking them. I managed to find a path using a single thread. But, as Beadsmith pointed out, why not try making the flowers individually and then stitching them together? My only concern with this is the long-term security of the bracelet with so many separate threads. But you can do it either way.

So, I invite you to go on a little journey of discovery with this pattern!
