This beaded flower ring tutorial shows you how to create a simple, but stunning ring. You will be combining some different shaped seed beads. So, read on to find out how to make this ring… (Ok, so you need to buy the pattern for the complete instructions, but this information will help you decide if this is right for you!)

What Materials will you need?

That’s simple… You just need the following beads:

  • Size 11 Miyuki seed beads
  • Rulla Beads
  • Mini Mushroom Beads
  • 14mm Dome Beads
  • Your choice of thread

You can buy all the beads from me, right here. In fact, if you go ahead and grab the pattern now, you’ll get a little discount with your receipt. So, you can come back and get the beads from me, use the discount code and get some money off.

You don’t need too many of any of the bead types. So, if you are just ‘dipping your toe in the water’ with shaped seed beads, this is a great place to start. Give these shapes a try, see if you like them. Then, if you do, you can seek out some more projects for them.

What techniques will you need?

Well, this beaded flower ring tutorial uses really simple thread paths. You are going to use a bit of circular Peyote, a bit of even count Peyote. Then, the rest is basically stringing.  I’ve illustrated everything with lots of photos and diagrams!

So, I would say, you can give this a go whatever your level. If you are really, really new to this beading, then do bear in mind you will still be getting used to the basics. So, parts of this might feel a little tricky for a literal beginner. But if you’ve done any bead-weaving before, you shouldn’t have a problem with this project.

About the Beaded Flower Ring Tutorial

This design evolved directly from my beaded flower earrings. So, it looks like the same pattern. But in fact, the beaded flower ring tutorial is very different. When I made the ring, I had to create a different backing to allow for the ring structure. So, I ended up taking totally different thread paths to create the same finished look! Don’t you love it when the beads are that flexible…?

The finished size of the ring is just over an inch (around 3cm). I photographed it on my finger to give you a sense of scale (I have pretty small hands by the way!)

If you are someone who likes to make jewellery to sell at craft fairs, then this project is perfect. You can make this ring in under an hour. The materials aren’t too expensive. Yet, they look really stunning. So, you can ask a good price for this. Give this pattern a try now!
