This beaded flower earrings pattern shows you how to create simple, but stunning earrings. You will be combining some different shaped seed beads. So, read on to find out how to make beaded flower earrings… (Ok, so you need to buy the pattern for the complete instructions, but this information will help you decide if this is right for you!)

What Materials will you need?

That’s simple… You just need the following beads:

  • Size 11 Miyuki seed beads
  • Rulla Beads
  • Mini Mushroom Beads
  • 14mm Dome Beads
  • 7mm jump rings and a pair of ear wires
  • Your choice of thread

You can buy all the beads from me, right here. In fact, if you go ahead and grab the pattern now, you’ll get a little discount with your receipt. So, you can come back and get the beads from me, use the discount code and get some money off.

You don’t need too many of any of the bead types. So, if you are just ‘dipping your toe in the water’ with shaped seed beads, this is a great place to start. Give these shapes a try, see if you like them. Then, if you do, you can seek out some more projects for them.

What techniques will you need?

Well, the beaded flower earrings are made with really simple thread paths. I have put this under the ‘netting’ projects as Netting is really the only technique you will recognise. The rest is mostly stringing. Plus, a little thread path that is like Square stitch or Herringbone. But don’t worry – I’ve illustrated everything with lots of photos and diagrams!

So, I would say, you can give this a go whatever your level. If you are really, really new to this beading, then do bear in mind you will still be getting used to the basics. So, parts of this might feel a little tricky for a literal beginner. But if you’ve done any bead-weaving before, you shouldn’t have a problem with this project.

How I made the Beaded Flower Earrings

Well, I sort of stumbled upon this design. I wanted to make more using the Rulla beads. And I could see how the Mini Mushrooms would create a great edging. So, the rest was really about experimenting to get the design to sit and look right. The finished size is just over an inch (around 3cm).

I can already see a few other possibilities for the beaded flower earrings. They would make great pendants. Or maybe you think about joining them together?

If you are someone who likes to make jewellery to sell at craft fairs, then this project is perfect. You can make a pair of earrings in about an hour. The materials aren’t too expensive. Yet, they look really stunning. So, you can ask a good price for these. Give this pattern a try now!
