Looking for something for that special someone in your life? This Valentines beaded pen pattern could be the perfect gift. But it’s a bit of a mystery…I’ve shown you the pattern chart and shown you what a beadable pen looks like. Are you prepared to take the risk and see how this pattern looks on an actual pen?

Alter the colouring to suit your recipient. The abstract hearts design is a bit of a mystery to bead…although you do get a word chart and full instructions. It’s no mystery to give – perfect for anyone special!

What is a pen beading pattern?

Very simply, a little piece of flat Peyote that can be wrapped around a pen to decorate it. You can personalise your design in any number of ways. So, these create brilliant gifts for anyone. Although, I have to say, I have a hard time parting with mine!

I have discovered a second thing about a beaded pen pattern. It’s very addictive. I am not the only one who knows this. I was showing my designs to my regular beading class and I soon ended up with everyone addicted to beaded pens. So, don’t say I didn’t warn you…

About the Valentines Beaded Pen Pattern

The Valentines beaded pen pattern is inspired by the meaning of this special day. The hearts design has love written all over it! But I haven’t shown you a finished pen, so you will get to unravel a little mystery as you bead this project.

You will be working in Peyote stitch and the tutorial includes a word chart as well as a picture chart.

Helpful Information

Pop up to the free tutorials section (this will open in a new tab) and find the tutorials for odd count Peyote, even count Peyote, Brick stitch and Following a Peyote pattern. (Plus, you might want to grab a few others on your way through!). Then come back here. These will give you all the technical information you need. You might also want to sign up to this course.

Each pen needs two pattern pieces, so I have included some blank pattern paper in case you want to create a second design for yourself. Or, you might like to pair this with the Personalised Pen Design, so you can add your recipient’s name.
