About the Patchwork Daisy Necklace
I made the patchwork daisy necklace design using two very basic stitches: daisy chain and basic square stitch.
The necklace length can be adjusted so that it sits as a choker or as a short necklace.
For this patchwork daisy necklace, you will need size 8 seed beads in three colours. Plus, a clasp and a one-to-two-hole connector.
If you are concerned about finding supplies, you can also buy this project as a complete kit.
If you are completely new to beading then I have some helpful resources that you can also download for free to get you started.
Firstly, you will find the basic bead-weaving tips and tricks really helpful. So, download a free copy of that here.
If you want more information about square stitch, then I have that too. Get a free tutorial for that technique that you can download here.
In addition to this, the website, My World of Beads, has a wealth of great blogs that will guide you through everything you need to know.
You are also going to need scissors to cut the thread. So, find out about what works best for beading in this blog.
If you are interested in learning more about the seed beads that you are using, then I have a few blogs on that. This one is a good place to start and also links to the others from the site.
So, now that sets you up ready to go! Are you ready to take the next step and move from the patchwork daisy kit onto some other projects? Great, then I have a few ideas for you!
For more beginner techniques, then the spiral stitch is a great one to try next – find a pattern here. Or you can simply search through the beginner level patterns on the website for some more inspiration… Just select that option from the dropdown patterns menu. Most of all, have fun with your patchwork daisy necklace and happy beading!
