About the Fiesta Necklace

I designed my Fiesta necklace with the idea of bright sunshine and parties in mind. The idea came from the lunasoft cabochons which have a huge depth of colour and texture. I picked particularly bright colours, so I wanted to build these into a party feel.

You will be bezelling around the cabochons using RAW and Peyote. I used a mixture of seed bead sizes. So it proved quite quick to create the bezels. I then embellished them with squirls of beads, made in Peyote stitch.

Having completed the different components, I wanted to find a quick way to link them. So I incorporated the sections of chain. You will fasten your Fiesta necklace with a clever magnetic clasp, concealed in one of the elements of the design. This is really comfortable to wear and is a real celebration of summer.

About the pattern

The pattern includes a mixture of diagrams and photos to help you understand how to construct your Fiesta necklace. The instructions are detailed, but they do assume that you are familiar with the basic beading techniques. So if you need a reminder, you can find some free tutorials to download from this website. Just go to the ‘free tutorials’ section in the menu above.

Although I took my Fiesta Necklace inspiration from the bright colours, this design would also work well in a completely different colour scheme. Something more muted would create a classic style with a modern twist.
