This French beaded Hyacinth is the perfect reminder of Spring all year round!

Materials

Your French beaded Hyacinth pattern requires the following materials:

  • Size 11 seed beads in flower colour (30g), green (20g) and yellow
  • 24ga (0.5mm) wire in flower colour and green
  • 28ga (0.315mm) wire in green
  • Floral stem tape
  • Embroidery silk in green

You can find all these supplies in my beading supplies department here>>

As with all French beading projects, you will need a bead spinner and some wire cutters.

If you are going to plant your Hyacinth, then you will also need a small pot and some oasis to fill it. The pot I used is about 4″ (10cm) in diameter at the top.

You might even like to make several Hyacinths and plant them all in one bigger pot. So, if you need any help with learning how to plant your flowers or create arrangements, check out this blog>>

Experience and Techniques

I have labelled the French beaded Hyacinth as an intermediate project. It actually uses simple techniques: single loops and basic. But it is fiddly to assemble. You will also need to lace your leaves. So, this is a more advanced technique.

In the pattern, I have included a link to a video showing you the lacing technique. This is taken from my ebook, ‘Beaded Wedding Flower and Corsages’. Alongside some gorgeous corsage and flower tutorials, you will learn lots of more advanced French beading techniques. I demonstrate all of these on video. So, this is a great teaching tool. Find the ebook here>>

The book is a sequel to my best-selling, ‘Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets’. So, make sure to look out for both ebooks!

About the French Beaded Hyacinth Pattern

The French beaded Hyacinth pattern is easy to follow. I have given you detailed written instructions. Plus, I illustrated each step with a photo. So, you can see exactly how to make your plant.

This is one of my earlier designs, but it has been really popular as a finished plant. So, I’m happy to finally be able to publish the pattern. I hope you enjoy making your own, in colours of your choice!
