This French beaded holly pattern shows you how to make a really useful Christmas decoration. I have used the holly in several projects. These include an advent candle holder and Christmas wreath. You can also use them to decorate your dinner table or pretty much any area of your home!
To make your French beaded holly, you will need the following materials:
- 0.315mm (28ga) and 0.5mm (24ga) green wire
- size 11 seed beads in green
- 6mm round beads in red
- floral stem tape
- embroidery silk
I have everything available in my beading supplies. Or, you can buy a complete kit here>>
You are going to be using the basic technique for this project. So, it is suitable for anyone who is happy working in that technique (or willing to learn!)
If you are new to French beading and need some help with the techniques, then you might be interested in my ebook, ‘Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets‘. This includes video demonstrations of all the basic techniques. Plus you get lots of lovely flowers and bouquets to make.
About the French beaded holly
I designed my French beaded holly to use as a decoration and incorporate into other projects. Holly really invokes the spirit of Christmas, so this is such a useful design to have.
However, if you are looking for holly leaves made using bead-weaving techniques, I have a design for those as well! You can find it in my ebook, ‘A Beaded Christmas Table‘. So, I hope that either of these beaded holly leaves will give you just what you need for the festive season… or any time of year if you just like holly!
I also wrote a free blog showing you how to turn your beaded holly leaves into a Christmas wreath. So, you can Read it here>>
