These beading pattern instructions use geometric beading techniques to make a 3-D piece of Toblerone. I will also show you how to create joined blocks.

What Beading Materials do you need?

You can make your beaded Toblerone from either size 11 or size 10 Delicas. You need to get the colouring right. So, the beading pattern instructions do tell you the exact colour codes I used.

I sell both Delica colours in my beading supplies here.

Then, you will also need some beading thread. My thread of choice is Fireline, but you may have a different preference. So, just use whatever feels comfortable and allows you to get good tension.

Which Techniques will you use?

This beaded Toblerone is made entirely from Peyote stitch. So, I will teach you how to create some different shapes and then join them together for the 3-D chocolate.

You should already be confident with basic Peyote, including how to step-up and how to increase and decrease. If you need any reminders of these techniques, then grab one of my free tutorials to help you. You can find them all here.

So, I have classified this pattern as ‘intermediate’. It is also suitable for more advanced beaders. But if you are a beginner, don’t be discouraged. Provided you are able to follow instructions and prepared to challenge yourself a little, then give this a go!

About the Beading Pattern Instructions

These beading pattern instructions include written text to explain the steps. Plus diagrams to illustrate the thread paths.

I first created this design in 2012, when I was working on Sweet Treats book. I tried a few ideas with the finished pieces – including a pendant, which you can see in the gallery. However, nothing really worked out. So, for that reason, I didn’t ever publish the pattern.

Recently, I was talking about this in a beading group. I still haven’t had that ‘perfect idea’ for using my Toblerone. But I thought I would send the pattern out to all of you and see what you can come up with. So, enjoy!
