This beaded spider web is really simple to make, whatever your experience level. I mixed clever use of the shaped seed beads and simple stringing to create a gorgeous sparkly decoration.

The beaded spider web uses simple materials. Start with a 6″ snowflake form. Then use the following beads:

  • Trinity Beads
  • Size 11 seed beads
  • 4mm Firepolish beads

I also want to give a quick shout out to the Old Bicycle Shop who supported this pattern. The lovely Davida (shop owner) probably wondered why she was sending me every shade of grey/white/silver Trinity bead she stocked… I was just trying to work out the best colour combination. So, I’ve got lots of other colours to use in other projects now!

Experience and Techniques

I genuinely mean it when I say this. Anyone can make this beaded spider web! You are simply going to be stringing beads.

The toughest part of the project is folding the ends of the wire snowflake form over. You just need strong wrists and a good pair of pliers for that!

So, if you’re thinking about Halloween decorations, then this is a great project to try. The webs are quite quick to make and also pretty cheap.

About the Beaded Spider Web

So, you now know that this is a quick, easy and inexpensive project. I came up with the idea simply by looking at the beaded snowflake form. Well, that, in combination with the huge number of Spider’s webs in my garden!… I keep walking into them.

Spider’s webs are incredibly beautiful if you catch them after a shower of rain or early in the morning covered in dew. I marvel at the skill of these little eight-legged creatures. I mean, aside from the gorgeous patterning, how on earth do they bridge the 3-foot and more gaps across my garden?

When I created my beaded spider web, I wanted to give it that effect of sparkling dew. So, I have chosen beads in silver and AB shades that catch the light.

You can hang these beaded spider webs around the house for a Halloween celebration. Or, if you don’t want to hang them, they also look great just lying down.
