I have a couple of French beaded daffodil patterns on here. So, I thought it was about time I made a daffodil using bead-weaving techniques. Now, let me introduce my Peyote stitch daffodil!

Materials

I used all size 11 delicas to make this little daffodil. It measures just about 1″ (2.5cm) across. So, it is a cute, tiny charm.

You can buy all the colours I used right here in my beading supplies.

I chose to use Fireline thread for this project, but that’s only because it’s my go-to thread. So, you can use any beading thread that you like.

Experience and Techniques

You probably guessed from the title. This little daffodil is made using Peyote stitch. You will be using tubular Peyote and also diamond Peyote. They are both simple techniques.

When I wrote the pattern, I assumed that you already knew how to do Peyote stitch. If that’s not the case, then don’t worry! I also have free tutorials on here that you can use to learn the techniques. So, just grab whatever you need.

I have labelled this as an intermediate pattern. The small size means it is just a little bit fiddly to hold the beads as you work. But if you are still learning, don’t be put off. Give this a try. If necessary, you can always start with larger beads until you are comfortable with the techniques.

What will you do with your Peyote Stitch Daffodil?

You can see from the photo, I added a little split ring to my Peyote stitch daffodil. So, I have options. I could hang them from ear wires to make some really cute Spring earrings.

Or, I might make a few more and turn them into a Spring charm bracelet. In fact, maybe I’ll have a go at designing some more miniature Spring flowers. Then I could have a mixed flower charm bracelet…

So, while I ponder how I’m going to use my Peyote stitch daffodil charms, what will you do with yours?
