I have drawn on the 2019 fashion trend to create this animal print beaded bead bracelet. The pattern includes four different animal prints. So, you can use all or just some of them. Now, let me tell you a little more about this project.

Materials

You simply need seed beads to make your animal print beaded bead bracelet components. I used size 11, but this will also work with size 8 seed beads.

Each beaded bead needs just a few seed beads. So, this could be a good project for clearing some of your stash. You can keep to the traditional animal colours, or go a little wild. So, use your imagination as you decide on your materials.

If you are using up beads from your stash, then please make sure you use all beads of the same size and brand. As I explained in this blog, different brands of seed bead vary slightly in size. So, if you try to mix them, your beaded beads will come out a little wonky!

To make the complete bracelet, you also need:

  • 20″ length of leather cord
  • Two leather crimps
  • A magnetic clasp
  • Optional (depending on your crimps and clasp): two jump rings or split rings

For the beaded beads, you will just need a needle and scissors. You may want a pair of flat nose pliers for attaching the leather crimps.

Experience and Techniques

This animal print beaded bead bracelet is a beginner level project. You will use basic brick stitch to make your beaded beads. I have explained the technique in great detail and made the pattern charts very easy to follow.

So, you really don’t need any previous experience. I have also included instructions for attaching the crimps and clasp to your bracelet.

About the animal print beaded bead bracelet

I decided to try a few ‘on trend’ projects this year. So, experimenting with animal print designs came high on my list. Since I am also following my personal beaded bead challenge, this seemed like the perfect project.

Each beaded bead is quick to make. So, I was able to experiment with four different animal print designs. This pattern includes all four:

  • Zebra stripe
  • Tiger stripe
  • Leopart print
  • Giraffe print

If you are a more experienced beader, you can extend these patterns to create different pieces of animal print jewellery.

The leather cord wrap around bracelet is a trendy, yet casual, design that seemed to fit well with the animal print idea. So, you should be all set for summer with this project!
