This beaded Christmas wreath pattern is just perfect as a last-minute make: it’s simple and takes very little time.

Materials

For this super-quick beaded Christmas wreath, you will need the following materials:

  • Seed beads in size 8
  • Size 6 seed beads
  • Czech pressed glass flower cap beads
  • Your choice of thread

Techniques and Experience

The beaded Christmas wreath pattern uses an incredibly simple technique. So, even if you have never done any beading before, you will be able to make this wreath.

I originally created the design when I needed a project for a large group of beginners, at short notice! It proved to be very successful and I liked it so much that I offered it as one of my first kits for the Craft Channel. When the kits sold out, I made the pattern available here.

If you are completely new to beading, then you will find this free guide to starting out in bead-weaving helpful. There is also a lot more information and resources available on the My World of Beads website.

About the Beaded Christmas Wreath Pattern

The wreath looks lovely decorating a Christmas tree, or I have also used these beaded Christmas wreaths to decorate the front of Christmas cards. The wreaths measure just over 1″ (2.5cm) across.

You can make a whole batch of these beaded Christmas wreaths in a short space of time. So, they are great little gifts for special friends. You can see some of the ways of using them in the photos in the gallery.

If you are looking for more Christmas projects, then you can find some more kits on this website, or you might like the inspiration from my series of three Christmas beading ebooks – they are full of great projects to decorate your home and give as gifts. They also include video demonstrations of all the techniques you will need.
