This Peyote stitch bracelet pattern gives you the pattern chart with the butterflies and flowers design shown. It also includes a guide for turning this into a bracelet and adding a concealed clasp. So, what will you need?

Materials

You will need to use size 11 Delicas for this Peyote stitch bracelet pattern. You might feel some trepidation at the number of different colours I used. Well, this is in fact a brilliant project for using up small packs of leftover beads.

So, if you have a large stash of Delicas, you probably won’t need to buy any beads for this project. I have included some guidance on choosing colours. So, it’s very easy to create a very colourful design like the one you see. Or, if you prefer to use fewer colours, that will also work really well.

In addition to the beads, you will need a 41mm slide clasp and your favourite beading thread.

You don’t need any complicated tools – just a beading needle and scissors.

The finished bracelet is about 2″ (5cm) wide.

Experience and Techniques

I have marked this as an Intermediate level project. But really, it is a bit of a hybrid.

The pattern instructions assume you know how to do the following:

  • Even count Peyote
  • Decrease at the end of a row
  • Read a pattern chart

However, I have also included links to extra free resources that you can use if you’re not familiar with any of these techniques. So, if you’re happy to learn as you go, you can try this project at any level of experience.

This is also a great project to use alongside this online course.

About the Peyote stitch bracelet pattern

I don’t know why, but up to this point, I haven’t created a lot of designs for just basic Peyote stitch bracelets. I guess I felt like there are a lot out there and would I have anything new to add?

Well, as I was designing my new online course, teaching people how to follow Peyote charts, I fell in love with the idea of ‘painting’ with beads. So, since it was Spring outside and I saw my garden returning to life, I was inspired to create this butterflies and flowers design.

It’s really easy to size this bracelet to fit any wrist. I’ve included instructions for doing that. So, this is perfect for anyone who, like me, is slightly in love with Peyote stitch art!
