You will learn how to use tubular netting to create this netted pearl bracelet. It has a natural curve, which lends itself to a bangle. But you can add a clasp to make a bracelet if you wish. I have given a couple of ideas for doing that in the pattern.

Materials

For the netted pearl bracelet, you will need the following beads:

  • 4mm pearls
  • 6mm pearls
  • size 11 seed beads

You can use your choice of beading thread, but make sure it is something strong that will give you good tension. You want to achieve a nice even tension so you get a solid curve for this bracelet.

You can also try out lots of different colour schemes. What happens if you mix up the colours of pearls for example? If you would like some ideas for colour, try out this blog>>

Experience and Techniques

You are going to be working in Tubular Netting. This is quite a simple technique to learn. However, I have marked this as an intermediate pattern as you will be mixing bead types and sizes.

If you are a confident beginner or improver, then by all means, give this a try.

The pattern includes diagrams to show the thread path and written text to guide you. This is also a very ‘logical’ technique in which you are just repeating a couple of basic steps. So, you should soon work out how to do this.

About the netted pearl bracelet

I originally designed this project as part of a series of beaded bangles using different techniques. I ended up including it in a mini-book about netting. That gave you a little introduction and a couple of other projects too. So, if you’re interested, you can find it here>>

This netting technique is really lovely to follow and I find it so satisfying to see the curve emerging. You will see your bracelet grow fairly quickly. So, this is a lovely project for an afternoon.
