This flower toggle bracelet is a simple, elegant design. You can easily size it to fit your wrist. Plus, you get to customise it completely. Read on to find out how…

Materials

Your flower toggle bracelet uses the following materials:

  • Size 11 delicas
  • Size 15 seed beads
  • 4mm bicones
  • Size 11 seed beads
  • Your choice of beading thread

This is a good project for stash-busting. You don’t need too many beads in any of the sizes. Plus, you can have fun mixing and matching colours. So, you could use up quite a few leftover beads with this project.

The pattern tells you exactly what colours I used, but you are free to choose your own.

Experience and Techniques

You will be using Peyote stitch to make your flower toggle bracelet. I have assumed that you have done some Peyote stitch before. But if this is not the case, you can find free tutorials to take you through the basics.

You are going to be working mostly in even count Peyote. You will also use a tiny bit of simple tubular Peyote and you will need to make some basic increases. I have illustrated the steps with diagrams and included photos to guide you as well.

So, this would be suitable for anyone who enjoys Peyote. If you want to read more about the technique, then check out this blog>>

About the flower toggle bracelet design

I created this bracelet design when I was writing my Beaded Clasps book. I was trying to find different ways to use feature clasps. So, this design is really all about the clasp.

The bracelet itself is a clever openwork design. It has movement around the wrist, but is dainty to wear. The flower toggle clasp then acts as the focal feature in the design.

So, you can customise this in different ways. Perhaps you make the full bracelet length to fit around your wrist and just use one flower toggle to fasten it. Or, you can make several short lengths of the bracelet and fasten them together with multiple toggles. So, you end up wearing several flowers.

The pattern explains exactly how to do all this. So, that just leaves you to have fun and use your imagination to create whatever is perfect for you.
