This carrier beads bracelet pattern creates a chic, sophisticated, cuff bracelet with a slide clasp. So, you will be using simple stitches and thread paths. Combine the sparkle of crystal and the elegance of pearl with these stylish carrier beads.

Materials

For the carrier beads bracelet, you will need:

  • Size 11 delicas
  • Carrier beads
  • 4mm silver plated rose montees
  • 4mm pearls
  • A 1″ slide clasp
  • Your choice of beading thread

You can get the carrier beads right here. They have been proving incredibly popular. So this bracelet pattern is an illustration that they do not always have to be combined with Peyote stitch.

When you select your beading thread, make sure you have something really strong, so it won’t be torn on any rough bead edges. I chose to use Fireline for my bracelet.

Experience and Techniques

This is a great project for improver to intermediate level. You will be using simple even count Peyote and basic square stitch. If you need any additional help with those, then I also have free tutorials you can download to learn the techniques.

If you are wondering what those techniques involve, then check out this website>>

Aside from these two basic bead-weaving techniques, you will just be stringing beads. I have used comprehensive written instructions and diagrams to take you through the steps. So, you should find this pattern easy to follow.

About the Carrier Beads Bracelet

I was experimenting with two ideas as I made this carrier beads bracelet.

First, I wanted to show that the glass carrier beads are so beautiful in their own right that they don’t need to be covered with Peyote strips. So, to me, they speak of elegance and chic. I decided to combine them with a little sparkle and some pearls to develop this idea.

Second, the rose montees have an interesting structure. They have two thread paths through them. One passes through vertically and one passes through horizontally. I discovered on my beads that I could also pass through diagonally. So, I used this to play with different thread paths in the design. They are all simple to follow.

So, I hope you enjoy making and wearing your own version. Remember, this doesn’t just have to be about blue sparkle! Choose your carrier beads first, then find some sparkle and pearls to complement them.
