This peanut bead bracelet is simple to make and easy to wear. So, let me tell you more about it…

Materials

Your peanut bead bracelet requires the following materials:

  • 2mm x 4mm sized peanut beads
  • Rulla beads
  • Size 11 Delicas
  • True2 Beads
  • A slide clasp (or alternative clasp of your choice)
  • Your choice of beading thread

I sell all these materials here in my beading supplies department>>

The pattern gives you details of the quantity needed (I have included options to fit all wrist sizes). I have also included the bead colours that I used, but you are free to choose your own.

I used two colours of peanut beads to create a subtle spotted pattern. This design actually helps you see thread paths as you work, making the project really easy to bead.

You may also see peanut beads referred to as Farfalle beads. Both types come in different sizes, so check you are buying the right size. If you would like to know more about these beads, read this blog>>

Experience and Techniques

I used basic even count Peyote and simple brick stitch to make the peanut bead bracelet. You don’t need to have done these techniques before. I have explained everything in detail, using lots of diagrams, in the pattern. So, this is a great project for a beginner.

Working with the peanut beads may feel strange because of their shape. But the resulting texture gives your bracelet a wonderful feel. So, this is a good project for starting to use peanut beads.

About the peanut bead bracelet

Sometimes simple is best! I think this is the case with this bracelet design. The peyote stitch just shows off the peanut beads beautifully. You can decide whether to keep your spotted pattern subtle, like me. Or, perhaps use colours with more contrast to create more of a statement.

Then, pick colouring for the edge beads to complement the main bracelet section.

I felt the slide clasp leant itself to this design. But if you prefer a different style of clasp, use that. Or maybe even make a beaded clasp if you have the experience to do that.

This is a quick project to make. So, let me know how you get on!
