This bow bracelet project is a great way to learn Right Angle Weave. So, read on to find out why…

You simply need size 8 seed beads in two colours. I used a 10mm round bead for the clasp. So, you could try any bead of this size.

You probably have these beads in your stash already. If not, or if you want to try some new colours, you can find size 8 seed beads here at a great price.

Techniques and Experience

You already know the technique that the bow bracelet is designed to teach. I designed this pattern using colouring to help you to master this stitch. So, if you have struggled with RAW in the past, give this a try.

You don’t need to have any experience before you try this project. However, if you are a complete beginner, you might want a bit of help with the beading basics before you start. So, download this free tutorial to use alongside the bow bracelet pattern.

How the Bow Bracelet Pattern will help you

As I said above, I designed this pattern using colouring to help you understand the basic RAW structure.

You will use this to create your main bracelet band. So, this should give you plenty of practice in the technique.

Once you have mastered the straight strip, I will guide you through a couple of ‘next steps’. First, you will do some RAW in a single colour. This will test how well you have grasped the technique.

Then you will add a simple bit of shaping to create the feature bow. If you don’t want to include this feature, you can just leave the bracelet as a simple strip.

I also designed a very simple beaded clasp, but again, you can substitute it with a bought clasp if you prefer. The pattern will give you 7 pages of detailed instructions with diagrams and photos to make this project.
