Is it possible to have too much chocolate? Not when it’s all made from beads! So, indulge to your heart’s content with my Death by chocolate cupcake beaded box pattern!
For this project, you will need the following materials:
- Size 10 delicas
- Size 15 delicas
- Size 8 seed beads
- Peanut beads
- Size 11 delicas
- Your choice of beading thread
Experience and Techniques
The Death by chocolate cupcake is made using Peyote stitch in its circular and tubular variations. You will also use a special technique for the texture on the cupcake.
I have assumed you are already happy with the basic tubular and circular peyote stitches. But if you do need a reminder, you can also download free tutorials from this website.
This project is suitable for intermediate to advanced beaders. I have written the pattern with clear instructions, diagrams and photos. So, as long as you are good at following instructions, you should be able to manage this.
About the Death by Chocolate Cupcake
This is the third of my cupcake designs. I love cupcakes! Not just eating them (actually, I can’t any more!), but looking at them. The different styles of icing and all the colours are just divine!
So, I’ve been having fun dreaming up different styles that I can create in beads. The different styles of icing have led me to design different types of lid for each cupcake. So, don’t feel that once you’ve done one, you’ve done them all! If you want to try my other designs too, you will learn something different.
The ‘Death by chocolate’ is a special design for my sister-in-law. I think she would enjoy eating a real version of this. So, I’m hoping she will also like the beaded box and find some treats to keep in it!
If you’re a chocolate-lover, then I hope you enjoy this project too…
