This Gerbera beaded necklace pattern is a full online workshop. In that, you get this pattern PDF, plus everything demonstrated on video and access to help from me if you get stuck. If you would rather just get a pattern download, without all the extra help, you can find it at this link.

Materials

The Gerbera beaded necklace pattern requires the following materials:

  • Size 11 seed beads
  • Delicas in size 11
  • Size 15 seed beads
  • Lunasoft Cabochons
  • Clasp and split rings
  • Optional: Zakros Cymbals Elements
  • Your choice of beading thread

So, this is a lovely, traditional bead-weaving project that uses materials you probably already have in your stash.

In the workshop, I have explained how to choose a different colour scheme. Plus, given some advice on making bead substitutions, and saving money.

If you need any of these materials, you can check out my beading supplies here.

Experience and Techniques

This is an intermediate level project that uses a range of basic bead-weaving techniques. So, you will be working in:

  • Modified Right Angle Weave
  • Tubular Peyote
  • Tubular Herringbone

I demonstrate all the techniques on video. So, if they are things that you’re not familiar with, you can learn as you go.

Then, you also get access to ask me questions if you get stuck. So, I can offer personal tuition, just as I would in a real workshop!

About the Gerbera Beaded Necklace Pattern

I designed this project for the summer. I had been working with cabochons and wanted to turn some into flowers. Then, I received some of the Cymbal Elements (if you’re not sure what they are, take a look at this blog). So, I had an idea for incorporating them.

The necklace design just evolved. I found it a very fun and soothing project to make. So, I hope you will enjoy it too.
