This online class will teach you how to make cute beaded Christmas gnomes that hold small gifts and will hang on your Christmas tree. So, let me tell you a little bit about the project…

How does the beaded Christmas gnomes online class work?

You simply need to follow this link to enroll in the class.

Once enrolled, you can start beading at any time. So, you might want to begin immediately. Or, you might prefer to save the project to start later.

You can work through at your own pace. So, you’re not obliged to bead at any set time. If you want to carve out a chunk of time and do the entire class in one go, you can. But if you find it easier to bead in short spells, that’s also fine. You get life-time access to the class material. So, just follow as much or as little as you want.

The class will give you a 13-page PDF tutorial that you can download and print out or save. So, you can work from that.

You also get just under an hour of video demonstrations. These will show you the different steps for making your beaded Christmas gnomes. So, even if you’re quite new to beading, you should still be able to make this project.

If you get stuck, or have questions, you can just ask for help. I am there behind-the-scenes to answer all your queries and help you get un-stuck if necessary!

Materials and techniques

You will be working in Peyote stitch and also simple fringing. So, the techniques aren’t complicated.

The beaded Christmas gnomes are made with the following beads:

  • Superduos
  • Size 11 seed beads
  • Size 8 seed beads
  • One mini mushroom or a 6mm round bead

You will also need Fireline beading thread and I recommend Durathread.

I have explained how to use all these materials and where to buy them in the class. So,  just pop over there and find out more.

The finished size of each gnome is about 3″ high and just under 2″ wide.

As you can see from the photos, the gnomes heads lift off to reveal storage space inside. So, you can conceal a small gift, then hang your gnome on your Christmas tree.
