Wavy Bracelet kit
I designed this bracelet kit after playing around with a basic beading technique that I know as ‘Wave Stitch’. It uses smaller seed beads to embellish around larger round beads. I decided I wanted to see what happened if I added further embellishment onto the basic wave around the larger beads. The result was a very tactile design that is perfect for a bracelet. It could also be made as a necklace and I discovered that a single wave around a pearl makes a very cute pair of earrings! Not everyone is a fan of bead mixes, but for this project, I used a little pack of mixed colours of seed beads which was perfect for giving added interest in the colouring.
The wavy bracelet kit contains enough pearls to make a bracelet that will fit any size of wrist – just lengthen or shorten it as you are making it. It also contains size 8 seed beads for the basic wave and size 11 seed beads for the embellishment. Thread and a clasp are also included of course! You may well have some spare beads left at the end, so I have included an idea for turning them into matching earrings, as I demonstrated on the show on the Craft Channel where this kit was launched. The wavy bracelet kit is available in two colour choices: a blue mix or a pink/mauve mix, so you can choose whichever you prefer.
