Beaded Holly Leaves
I designed these beaded holly leaves when I was making a set of Christmas decorations. I have used them in several projects. These include an advent candle holder and Christmas wreath. You can also use them to decorate your dinner table or pretty much any area of your home!
Kit Contents and Techniques
- The beaded holly leaves are made using the basic French beading technique, so they are easy to complete.
- The kit contains
- two reels of wire
- size 11 seed beads
- 6mm round beads
- floral stem tape
- embroidery silk
So, these materials will make at least 21 beaded holly leaves. I turn these into sprigs with three leaves and a bunch of berries in each sprig. So, this kit will really give you plenty of decorations for your home.
If you are new to French beading and need some help with the techniques, then you might be interested in my ebook, ‘Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets‘. This includes video demonstrations of all the basic techniques. Plus you get lots of lovely flowers and bouquets to make.
If you’re reading this and wondering what on earth French Beading is, then you can find a quick outline on this blog.
Or, if you’ve got this far and realised that you were looking for beaded holly leaves made using bead-weaving techniques, I have a design for those as well! You can find it in my ebook, ‘A Beaded Christmas Table‘. So, I hope that either of these beaded holly leaves will give you just what you need for the festive season… or any time of year if you just like holly!
You can combine this kit with my Beaded Pine Cones pattern to make an Advent Candle Holder.
I also wrote a free blog showing you how to turn your beaded holly leaves into a Christmas wreath. Read it here>>
