Your beaded Christmas tree kit contains all the materials you need to make a tree and six parcels. This is a ‘materials only’ kit. So, you will also need to purchase a copy of my ebook, ‘Beaded Christmas Table’, which contains the instructions. You can find the ebook on my website here>>
This ebook is available in two formats. I only sell the CD-Rom, which is physically shipped to you. But you can also get this ebook as a download. So, if you would prefer that, then please follow this link>>
Your beaded Christmas tree kit contains the following:
- 120g seed beads, in green, red, silver and gold
- 4mm pearls for tree decorations
- A reel of craft wire
- A reel of beading thread
- Floral stem tape
- Embroidery silk
So, you will just need to provide a pair of wire cutters, beading needle and scissors.
You will also need to find a small pot for the tree, but there are loads of options available, from using garden planters to up-cycling old packaging. So, with your creative skills, this really won’t be a problem!
Techniques for the project
The Christmas tree is made using the most basic French beading technique. For the parcels, you will be working in circular and tubular Peyote stitch. You don’t need to have any previous experience of these techniques. The ebook includes video demonstrations for you to follow alongside the written instructions.
So, this kit is suitable for anyone with an interest in beading.
About the Beaded Christmas Tree kit
Now you know what is in the kit and the skills you need to make it, let me tell you a little about the project.
I designed the beaded Christmas tree as a centrepiece for the festive dinner table. Then, I intended the parcels to be used as place holders for each guest. However, the tree with little parcels around it, makes a great Christmas ornament. The parcels each measure about 1.5″ across. The tree is about 4-5″ high (you can adapt the height as you make it).
So, you will be creating a real heirloom ornament to hand down through your family.
