NOTICE: Due to ill health, I am not currently teaching in person. But I do still have online courses that you can take. Click on this link to find out more about them.
I teach beading classes in the Little Chalfont (Bucks) and London area. I hold a City and Guilds qualification in teaching adults and also in bead-weaving. My classes cover a range of techniques. These include French Beading, Peyote stitch, Brick Stitch, Right Angle Weave, Herringbone and other bead-weaving as well as Beading for Beginners.
Regular Beading Classes
My regular beading classes last two hours each and are held every week. Each class costs just £10. I will teach you from any level. If you are a complete beginner, I will teach you the basics of beading. You will progress to more advanced projects whenever you are ready. If you already have some experience, I am happy to focus on helping you learn whatever additional skills you desire. I give everyone individual tuition and I tailor this to your needs and interests.
I teach a range of abilities and interests. So, some students focus on acquiring practical jewellery making skills. They can then make their own jewellery or gifts for friends. Others like to explore how beading can be used for non-jewellery projects.
You are completely in control of your progress. I do not pressure you to keep pace with the group or study any particular style of beadwork. You are not committed to coming every week. Although, most people like to as they enjoy the regular social aspect and we have a lot of fun in class! I put the emphasis on enjoyment, not just learning.
If you wish to join a class, please contact me via email.
I am also available for full day workshops and beading or jewellery parties. Again, please contact me to find out more or to make arrangements.
In the past, I have taught regularly at my local U3A group. Private beading groups around the UK have invited me to teach one day workshops. I have also been invited to teach at private hen parties.
Below, you can see my current beading classes schedule. The independent bead and craft shops that are hosting the classes will also take bookings. So, please click on a class to find out the full details and book your place.
