This petal beads pendant is a stunning accessory in any colour scheme.

Materials

You will need the following materials to make your pendant:

  • Petal beads
  • An oval Lunasoft Cabochon
  • Miyuki size 15 seed beads
  • True2 beads
  • Your choice of beading thread

This design will work well in any colour scheme. You can see two examples in the gallery photos. So, if you would like a little advice about how to put together a good colour scheme, check out this blog>>

I suggest you begin by choosing your Lunasoft cabochon. Then take the rest of the colouring from there. I created a strong scheme using contrasting colours. But this would work just as well with complementary colours.

The petal beads will be the next most limited in colour choice. So, this may also affect the decisions you make about your own colour scheme.

Experience and Techniques

The petal beads pendant is an intermediate to advanced level pattern. You are going to be using Cubic Right Angle Weave, Netting and basic Square stitch. I have assumed you are already familiar with these techniques, but if you do need some extra help, you can find free tutorials to cover them here>>

I have tried to give you as much guidance as possible. So, this pattern includes detailed instructions accompanied by diagrams and photos.

About the Petal Beads Pendant

This pattern is one that I designed for the Beadsmith Inspiration Squad. It also appeared in a copy of Bead and Jewellery Magazine. I was really experimenting with ways of using CRAW with True2 beads. So, the design kind of evolved.

The pendant is very tactile. The central section will also move independently of the surrounding petals. So, it feels lovely to wear.

This design is elegant and pretty for the summer. Or change up the colouring and create a more sparkly effect for the Winter party season.
