Beaded Holly Leaves
I designed these beaded holly leaves when I was making a set of Christmas decorations. I have used them in several projects, including an advent candle and they are also perfect to add to Christmas wreaths or decorate your dinner table or pretty much any area of your home!
The beaded holly leaves are made using the basic French beading technique, so they are easy to do. The kit contains two reels of wire, size 11 seed beads, 6mm round beads, floral stem tape and embroidery silk and it will make at least 21 beaded holly leaves. I turn these into sprigs with three leaves and a bunch of berries in each sprig, so it will really give you plenty of decorations for your home.
If you are new to French beading and need some help with the techniques, then you might be interested in my ebook, ‘Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets‘ which includes video demonstrations of all the basic techniques, along with lots of lovely flowers and bouquets for you to make. If you’re reading this and wondering what on earth French Beading is, then you can find a quick outline on this blog. Or, if you’ve got this far and realised that you were looking for beaded holly leaves made using bead-weaving techniques, I have a design for those as well! It can be found in my ebook, ‘A Beaded Christmas Table‘. So I hope that either of these beaded holly leaves will give you just what you need for the festive season…or any time of year if you just like holly!
